The most common small business owners’ questions: Why is my business stuck? I’m spending money on marketing, why is it not working? I’m doing OK, how do I take my business to the next level?

You are not in business to breakeven: You took the risk plunge into entrepreneurship in order to build a successful money-making business that at some point in the future, when you decide it’s time, will allow you to sell, retire or hand the company over to your children.

For most of us, the road to fulfilling our initial vision and goals has been more of a rollercoaster ride than a walk-in-the-park. But that’s what we signed up for right?

And we have to acknowledge that business ownership is quite lonely - even if you have a great team, at the end of the day, there’s only one person who goes home late, sometimes with a knot in your stomach and often with sleepless nights (even if your business doing well). I know that you (just like me) crave someone who will level with you, provide you with objective, unbiased advice that is based on real experience; not fancy self-promoted titles or As See On logos.

We hear this dumb statement way too often, “people do business with someone they like and trust.” Really? Throughout my career (close to four decades) I’ve done business with people I didn’t particularly like; what I had was tremendous respect and admiration for their professional talent. They had the talent and experience to get the job done, better than most. Trust? Sorry no, that is a sacred word and something that happens after a very long time, trust must be earned and it is never given, especially not after a few meetings.

Choosing a business coach, consultant or management mentor is a risky proposition - it comes down to intuition and after an honest and open conversation. You know if you’re seating across a self-made expert who spends all of his/her time talking about how great they are and name-dropping. The ones that listen, and when they speak prove to you that they “get you” are the ones worthy of your attention.

I am a marketing specialist, business coach and management advisor - yes, a combination and putting into practice what I’ve known for many years are critical aspects that allow companies to beat the competition and thrive. Marketing is the lifeblood of any business but marketing alone won’t get you closer to meeting your goals.

If you would allow me, I will provide you with a 100% unbiased assessment of your business; not from a financial perspective but from what I call the Engines of Growth - marketing, sales, customer service and corporate culture. There is no secret sauce, tips or tricks that contribute to entrepreneurial success. It always come down to properly executing a written road map and having the Engines in-sync.

I often spend an hour or more and I am generous with free advice too :-) My goal is to make a difference in your business.

Trust must be earned, not given. Let’s start with an honest conversation.
